Supporting Student Travel
The Hubbell Initiative provides funding for students interested in environmental law to travel to professional development opportunities. We support students who have been invited to present their papers at conferences, as well as students interested in going to environmental conferences.
There are 2 approved conferences, listed here. All other conferences, workshops, or events must be approved by the Faculty Director before funding will be considered.

Public Interest Environmental Law Spring Conference
Held in Eugene, Oregon every Spring.

Environmental Peacebuilding Volunteer
The Environmental Peacebuilding Association is seeking Visiting Attorneys (law degree holders), Visiting Researchers (graduate degree holders or professionals), Law Clerks (current law students) and Research Interns (current or recent undergraduates) to assist the Environmental Peacebuilding partnership’s research program on a volunteer basis.

Great Rivers Environmental Law Center is a non-profit environmental law organization. Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy
The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit advocacy organization, with an in-house team that includes some of Minnesota’s foremost environmental law and policy professionals, as well as policy analysts, subject-matter experts and communications professionals.
Missouri Department of Conservation
MDC provides a range of rich and rewarding opportunities for students and new graduates. Students can gain experiences that will contribute to their long-term career goals and build great networks. They can experience opportunities for career growth within MDC. Our programs operate year-round with fall, winter, spring and summer work terms that range from 3 – 6 months.
