Biography

Junior Luensman is the Business Manager/Financial Secretary for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 405. Junior started his career as an Inside Wireman Apprentice with the Cedar Rapids Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Center (JATC) in 2001. Upon completion of the five-year electrical apprenticeship, Junior was named the 2006 Outstanding Apprentice of the Year. After the apprenticeship, Junior was appointed as a trustee and committee member for the JATC in 2007, started negotiating contracts with employers when he was appointed to the Labor Management Committee in 2008 and was elected for two consecutive terms as an Executive Board member and one term as President of IBEW 405. Junior is currently serving his second elected term as the Business Manager of the local and was recently elected by his peers to serve as President of the Iowa IBEW State Conference.
