John Zakrasek is a founding member and Director of Linn Clean Energy District, a non-profit committed to accelerating a just and equitable transition to clean energy.  He is a board member of the Clean Energy Districts of Iowa and the Iowa Blue-Green Alliance.  He worked in the energy industry for over 25 years managing large information technology projects.  Since the 1980s, he has been engaged in addressing environmental issues, climate change and clean, renewable energy.  He was a member of the advisory committee in Cedar Rapids that developed the Cedar Rapids climate action plan.  In Linn County, he co-chairs the committee that developed the current greenhouse gas inventory and that is now developing Linn County's climate action plan.
