Andy Johnson is Executive Director of the Clean Energy Districts of Iowa. Energy Districts combine the green of locally-owned clean energy prosperity with the green of climate stewardship into an inclusive and powerful clean energy transition movement from the Heartland. Andy holds a master’s degree in natural resources and ecosystem management. His work over three decades has spanned sustainable agricultural, private lands conservation, community development and clean energy, domestically and abroad. He and his wife also raise grass-fed beef and lamb, Christmas trees, wildness, and daughters on their 3-generation family farm in Northeast Iowa.
